Eén van de bekendste Franse producten is ongetwijfeld de 2CV. Deze karakteristieke auto werd ontworpen als antwoord op de Kever en moest goedkoop en praktisch zijn. Naast vier wielen en een luchtgekoelde motor verschilt de Citroën in alles met zijn Duitse tegenhanger. Hoewel het ontwerp meer dan 75 jaar oud is, rijden er nog opvallend veel rond. De blog ‘Van Franse bodem‘ is één van mijn favoriete websites die ik elke week wel bezoek. Op de blog vertelt Marielle den Hartog over Franse producten en omdat ik geregeld in het land te vinden ben, is dat een feest der herkenning. Nu is er ook een boekje en dat is net zo leuk. Een ideaal cadeau voor elke Frankrijk liefhebber omdat het er uitstekend uitziet en vol staat met weetjes waar je blij van wordt. Heerlijk om te lezen in Nederland, maar ook uitstekend te consumeren in Frankrijk. Al heb ik dat laatste niet getest.

Een reisgids is voor ons één van de belangrijkste stukken bagage als wij naar Frankrijk gaan, alleen de creditcard is nog belangrijker. Deze is bij ons gewoon van papier, handzaam, stevig en hij moet voldoende informatie bevatten. Een reisgids als e-boek is wel handig voor bij de gîte of camping, maar in het veld is het gewoon te onhandig. Daarbij kan je op papier nog eens makkelijk aantekeningen maken, gewoon met een pen.
