Vlak onder Saint Malo en in de buurt van Mont Saint Michel ligt het oude vissersdorp Saint Suliac. De huizen zijn voor een groot deel gebouwd van graniet en staan in nauwe straatjes die in het seizoen vol staan met bloemen. Het dorp heeft een eeuwenoud klooster dat meerdere keren is herbouwd. Helaas voor ons is dat niet helemaal succesvol geweest, want nu rest er nog alleen een ruïne, wat ook weer zijn charme heeft natuurlijk.

Het dorp en de omgeving nodigen uit tot een wandeling. ‘s Avonds is de haven een prima plek om te genieten van de zee en het licht dat speelt op het water van de rivier de Rance. Ook het vogelreservaat dat dichtbij ligt is het prachtig bij zonsondergang.
Vanaf Saint-Suliac vertrekt ook een boot waarmee je de rivier kan verkennen. Maar je kan deze ook goed bekijken met de auto of met de fiets.

In het dorp staat de kerk uit de dertiende eeuw waarbij opvalt dat hij ommuurd is. Ooit was het gebouw de uitvalbasis van een bende die de omgeving onveilig maakte. Deze bende bouwde de kerk om tot een vesting. Helaas voor de rovers hield dat de burgers van het nabij gelegen Saint Malo niet tegen die een einde maakte aan hun activiteiten.
De kerk zelf heeft een aardig portaal waar vier beelden nog origineel zijn. Binnen is het graf van Saint Suliac te vinden. Deze lokale heilige greep in toen een enorme slang een monnik en een aantal jonge meisjes had opgegeten. Dat vond Suliac niet goed en beval het monster in de grond te verwijderen die dat ook plots deed. Zo ging die dingen lang geleden.
Naast het klooster zijn er ook menhirs en een soort van getijdenmolen te bekijken.
